On August 17th, 2009, 11:49 CEST, the authors had replied to a personal
email requesting a clarification of their license as follows, the contents
of the attached file is the license text from above.

    Dear Steffen,

    The software is released under the apache 2 license.  A copy of a
    typical header used in the code is attached to this email.

    I would be interested in understanding what was required to be changed
    in order to run under Debian. We are considering trying to include
    BDII version 5 into Debian/Ubuntu. As preparation for the transition
    to EGI style product teams, we have moved all the information system
    development work to the following SVN/Trac repository.
